Catherine, the Princess of Wales has completed chemotherapy and will return to program of public engagements
In a personal statement released by Kensington Palace on Monday, Catherine, the Princess of Wales, said she is doing well and that her chemotherapy treatment is now complete. In less than half a year after disclosing her cancer diagnosis, Princess Kate gave the health update.
"As summer draws to a close, I can't express how relieved I am to have finished my chemotherapy treatment. As a family, the past nine months have been extremely difficult. We had to figure out how to navigate the choppy waters and uncharted territory since life as you know it may change in an instant," Kate remarked. Even though her treatment is now complete, Kate intends to prioritise her full recovery and will only resume a limited schedule of public appearances.
"Everyone's journey with cancer is unique, frightening, and uncertain, especially for those closest to you. In addition to opening your eyes to your own vulnerabilities in a manner you may not have before, humility also gives you a fresh perspective on everything," Kate remarked.
Kate has been reminded to value the small but significant things in life, like love and being loved. Kate is a cancer survivor. Even though Kate has finished her chemotherapy, she still has a long way to go before fully recovering, so she needs to keep accepting each day as it comes. In the upcoming months, she hopes to resume her career and pursue public appearances with a fresh perspective on life and optimism. Kate conveyed her appreciation to the public for their support of her and her family.
"William and I are incredibly appreciative of the help we've had, and we've found a lot of strength in everyone who is currently providing for us. It has been profoundly humbled by everyone's warmth, sensitivity, and compassion. I'm here to support all of you who are still navigating your own cancer journey—hand in hand, side by side. Light can emerge from darkness, therefore let that light shine brightly." The palace stated that the film, which accompanied the announcement, was taken in Norfolk in August.
