Maya Harris, Kamala Harris' sister : Highlights from her DNC speech

Kamala Harris, the Democratic nominee for president, frequently mentions her mother Shyamala Gopalan as a source of inspiration and encouragement.

On this historic night, Harris's younger sister, Maya Harris, who is considered to be one of the vice president's closest confidants, brought up their mother once more. Maya Harris, who practices law like her sister, was a top policy consultant for Hillary Clinton's 2016 presidential campaign. In addition, Harris oversaw the 2020 presidential campaign of her sister.

She has also held positions as an officer of the charitable Ford Foundation and vice president of democracy, rights, and justice in the past. She attended Stanford Law School and graduated.
